I'm a freelance documentary filmmaker and cinematographer based in Sweden, working globally. My focus is on creating visual stories that feel real — I try to combine technical precision with an artistic eye to capture the moments that actually make a story come alive.

Experience and Craft

A solid education at Stockholm Film School and Molkom Film gave me an important foundation, but it's mainly through the countless hours behind the camera on real shoots that I keep refining my cinematic eye and my approach to what I film. I've filmed and photographed documentaries both in Sweden and abroad, and to me, cinematography is an ongoing process where technical precision and intuition go hand in hand.

Working across a wide variety of productions has given me a good sense for quickly reading a context, whether in a controlled studio environment or under unpredictable conditions out in the field. What I always aim for is balancing technical sharpness with an intuitive feel for light and presence, so the visual expression serves the story.

Services as a Documentary Filmmaker and Cinematographer

Beyond my role as a cinematographer, I offer solutions for everything from short reports to feature-length documentaries.

• Documentary Cinematographer (DoP) & Steadicam: I combine technical precision with a strong visual intuition for unscripted storytelling. My gear kit includes a Steadicam, which I use selectively when it serves the story—for instance, to smoothly follow a person in motion and heighten the visual emotion of a specific scene. Among my major ongoing assignments is my role as creative director and cinematographer for a feature-length documentary about Sweden’s oldest jazz club (established in 1949), produced in collaboration with the regional film fund Film i Dalarna.
• Documentary Specialist: I often work as a "fly-on-the-wall" to capture the unscripted without disturbing the scene.
• Local Crew & Fixer: I am available as a local DP and collaborator for international production companies filming in Sweden.
• Flexible Collaborations: I am equally comfortable working as part of a larger crew or independently, adapting to different directors' visions.
• Cinematic Interviews: I specialize in lighting and framing interviews so they feel both natural and visually engaging.

Film Technology and Innovation

To create that fluid, cinematic feel, I frequently fly Steadicam, and also work with Shoulder Rig and EasyRig. This adds emotional weight and stability to the images without losing the documentary realism. I also work with virtual production and LED walls, which opens up exciting possibilities even for smaller productions.

I own and operate professional gear suitable for broadcast and cinema standards. This includes:

• Cameras: Sony FX6 (Netflix-approved), Canon R-Series, Drone and Certificate.
• Lenses: Optics from Sony, Canon RF, Samyang and more
• Stabilization: Steadicam, EasyRig, Shoulder Rig
• Sound: Sound Recording (32-bit float Workflow), Professional Shotgun, Boom, and Lavaliers.
• Synchronization: Professional, industry-standard timecode sync utilizing the Tentacle Sync E and Track E workflow.
• Lighting: Portable video lights and softboxes for quick, cinematic interview setups.
• Editing: DaVinci Resolve Studio, Photoshop, Lightroom.
• Mobility: Fully battery-powered workflow for shoots in remote locations.
